Website information

  • Technical information that may be collected when you visit my website, such as device, browser and cookie information, depending on the website tools in use.

3. How I use your information

I use personal information for the following purposes:

  • To respond to enquiries and communicate with you.

  • To arrange and manage appointments.

  • To assess your skin and determine appropriate treatment options.

  • To maintain accurate clinical records and document treatments.

  • To manage payments, deposits, refunds and accounting.

4. The legal basis for processing your information

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), I must have a lawful basis for processing personal data.

Depending on the purpose, these bases may include:

  • Contractual necessity: managing appointments and providing services you request.

  • Legal obligations: maintaining records and meeting applicable legal or accounting requirements.

  • Legitimate interests: managing and protecting my business, where these interests do not override your rights.

  • Consent: sending marketing communications where required and using patient photographs or videos for promotional purposes.

  • Health information: processing necessary health information under an applicable condition for special-category data under Article 9 GDPR, in addition to an appropriate Article 6 lawful basis.

Where explicit consent is the appropriate basis for processing health information or using photographs for promotional purposes, I will seek that consent separately.

You can withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

5. Patient photographs and videos

Photographs and videos may be taken to document skin conditions, monitor treatment progress or record results.

Where photographs or videos are intended for use on my website, social media, educational materials or other promotional content, I will seek your permission separately.

Agreeing to treatment does not automatically mean agreeing to promotional photography.

You can decline promotional photography without this affecting your access to treatment. You may withdraw your consent to future promotional use by contacting me.

Please note that withdrawing consent cannot always reverse material that has already been published or shared. I will consider your request and take appropriate steps regarding future use.

Clinical photographs and promotional photographs are treated according to their respective purposes and applicable data protection requirements.

6. Online bookings and payment processing

I use Aesthetic Nurse Software to manage online bookings and relevant appointment information.

Depending on the booking and payment services used, information may be processed by the relevant software and payment service providers to arrange appointments and process transactions.

Payments may be made online or in person. Card payments may be processed by a payment provider, depending on the method used.

I do not intend to collect or store full payment card details in my clinical records.

Please refer to the relevant providers' privacy information for details of their own data processing practices.

7. Patient records and storage

I maintain patient records using my clinic management software. These records may include consultation information, medical history, skin analysis, treatment details, photographs, aftercare advice and relevant communications.

I take reasonable steps to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure.

Access to clinical information is restricted to authorised persons where applicable. I use appropriate organisational and technical safeguards and expect service providers handling personal information on my behalf to provide appropriate protection.

8. Email communications and the Skin Letter

If you voluntarily subscribe to my Skin Letter newsletter, your email address and subscription information may be processed through MailerLite, my email marketing platform.

I use this service to send skincare information, clinic updates and occasional subscriber offers.

You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in a newsletter or by contacting me directly.

Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not affect essential communications relating to an appointment or treatment.

If you contact me by email, I will use your information to respond to your enquiry and manage any related request.

Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive medical information through ordinary email or social media messages.

9. Who may receive your information?

I do not sell your personal information.
